Know How Often To Change Your Oil

If you’re not sure when it’s time to bring your vehicle into Muller’s Woodfield Acura for an oil change, it’s best to consult your Acura owner’s manual. That’s where you’ll find recommendations and information related to your vehicle’s model year, trim and engine type that could affect the best type of oil. For most newer cars, oil change service should be scheduled in 5,000-mile intervals.

The Right Time for Oil Change Service

There are some key indicators for determining when it’s the right time to get your Acura serviced for an oil change. The first sign to look out for is if the oil change indicator light comes on your dash. Another way to tell that your car is due is if it’s been more than 5,000 since your last oil change. Other signs to look out for include smelling burnt oil or checking the oil and it’s color appears very dark upon inspection.

If you are still unsure and would like more information, feel free to give us a call at 847-908-9582, fill out a contact form, or schedule service on your Acura.
